 My Approach

I believe that a good therapist doesn't "fix" you, because no one really needs "fixing." My goal is to create a supportive environment to help you express yourself and learn the skills necessary to handle whatever life might throw your way.  Every individual and situation is different, so we need to work together to figure out what will be most helpful for you. 

About me

I pride myself on treating individuals, rather than treating  diagnoses.  I like to let my clients direct the session toward the topics they feel most strongly about and believe that having a good connection is important.  In fact, research supports that a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is an essential component of effective treatment.  I also use a cognitive behavioral approach in my sessions to explore how thoughts impact mood and behaviors.
